"Minute to Win It" is a popular game concept that involves a series of quick and entertaining challenges, all of which must be completed in under one minute. This game is known for its simplicity, competitive spirit, and the hilarious moments it can create. It's an excellent choice for youth groups, parties, and team-building events. Here are some examples of Minute to Win It challenges along with instructions:
Cookie Face Challenge:
Materials: A cookie (like an Oreo) for each player.
Objective: Place a cookie on your forehead and, without using your hands, move it down your face and into your mouth within one minute.
Stack Attack:
Materials: 36 plastic cups.
Objective: Create a pyramid by stacking and unstacking the cups into a perfect pyramid shape within one minute.
Junk in the Trunk:
Materials: An empty tissue box, belt, and ping pong balls (or small lightweight objects).
Objective: Attach the tissue box to the back of your waist using the belt, fill it with ping pong balls, and shake your hips to empty the box in under one minute.
Chopstick Challenge:
Materials: A bowl of small candies (like M&Ms) and a pair of chopsticks for each player.
Objective: Using chopsticks, transfer as many candies as possible from one bowl to another in one minute.
Movin' on Up:
Materials: A stack of 25 plastic cups and a rubber band for each player.
Objective: Create a tower by stacking and unstacking the cups one at a time, using only one hand and a rubber band, in under one minute.
Face the Cookie:
Materials: A cookie (like a chocolate chip cookie) for each player.
Objective: Place a cookie on your forehead and, using only facial muscles, move it into your mouth without dropping it within one minute.
Ping Pong Madness:
Materials: A table, a ping pong ball, and a spoon for each player.
Objective: Bounce the ping pong ball on the spoon and catch it in the same spoon within one minute.
Hanky Panky:
Materials: A box of tissues for each player.
Objective: Empty a tissue box as quickly as possible, one tissue at a time, by pulling them out one after the other with one hand within one minute.
Balloon Pop:
Materials: Balloons and thumbtacks.
Objective: Pop as many balloons as possible using a thumbtack attached to your forehead within one minute.
Straw and Pom-Pom Race:
Materials: A drinking straw and a pom-pom (or cotton ball) for each player.
Objective: Blow air through the straw to move the pom-pom across a table or a race track within one minute.
These Minute to Win It challenges can be adapted and modified to suit the age and skill level of your youth group. You can also create a point system and have a prize for the person or team with the most successful challenges completed within the minute. The key to making Minute to Win It games enjoyable is to keep the atmosphere light-hearted and full of laughter.
