A great get to know you game!
Everyone in the group has to think of three things to share about themselves - 2 must be true but one must be a lie.
When a person has shared their three things, the rest of the group must decide which of the 3 is a lie. The person then indicates which one was the "lie".
It's amazing some of the things you learn about people when playing this game. People will be keen to trick the group, so it encourages people to share some of the more outrageous things they've done in their lives!
This game can lead nicely into a discussion or devotion on the importance of truth (or damaging effects telling lies)

One thing I have tried with this game is to let each person in the group ask a question. It helps give the group an idea about what the lie is. It also helps the game last a bit longer.- matt (10 Jan 2009)

Great game. You could also try putting a twist into it. Once everyone has written down their answers, collect the papers and read them out one at a time. Ask the rest of the group to try identify the person who wrote each, while also stating which is the lie. Those who no one can identify are the 'winners' If you give this objective at the beginning of the game, guys will reveal stuff that no one knows about so that no one can identify them; thus everyone gets to know something they didn't know about their group-mates.
