Poison is a good physical game to get people moving. It's also not as dangerous as it sounds!
Get everyone in the group to make a circle and hold hands. In the middle, place a chair (or similar object).
The concept is simple - if you touch the chair (which is "poisonous"), you're out. It doesn't take long before one side of the circle will try and pull the other side of the circle onto the chair.
Gradually as people are eliminated, the circle will get smaller and smaller. The last person standing is the winner!
Obviously given this is a physical game, you need to keep an eye on safety here to make sure people do not get hurt.

Yeah we play this game and call it Tasmanian Kickboxing. I can say without exageration that it is the absolute favorite game of the kids in the student ministry. We usually play it around a trash can. We say, "Don't touch the trash can and don't break hands. Other than that the only rule of Tasmanian Kickboxing is that there are no rules!"- Jared K (18 Jul 2009)
haha we play this too but its called Kajobe Can-can! :)

This game is actually Kajobe can can with a twist. usually u play with a trash can in the middle and everyone is holding a piece of rope attaching each person. this is an interesting version for indoor play for sure

It has lots of names. We call it Amaeba. Then at another church I worked in we called it the Trash Can game. Same game but goes by many names. Just like all the best things.

We call it poison chair. When we play we start with a few chairs in the middle (if there are a large number of kids) and remove them as people are "poisoned".

This is a great game for older kids. It works well with kids from middle school and up. We usually play it with a trash can in the middle, and you aren't allowed to break hands. Tip, don't have to big of a trash can or kids could get hurt falling over it.

Our kids love this game too, but I usually play a girl round and a guy round seperately because it gets ROUGH! So much fun though...I've also played it with an inflatable kiddy pool filled with water. Fun in the summer time!

Great Game! Our group LOVED it! We use an exercise ball instead of a chair - it was a good thing too they way they fell over it!

We put a barrel in the middle and call it the "barrel game"

this is an aggressive game. not ideal for a youth group game in my opinion.

Our kids love this game! We have a group of around 15 and it is fun to see them work together to get some of the stronger/older youth out. Can get a little out of hand but after a few games our youth have learned to control themselves.

This game is really fun, and extremely funny, but I highly recommend that smaller ones are careful or else they will get swung around by other players!
