Giant Board Games

As the title suggests, this idea for a game involves creating a 'giant' version of your favorite board game or games.  Games that work well for this include:

  • Monopoly
  • Snakes and Ladders
  • Chess
  • Checkers
  • Jenga

This idea requires a fair bit of preparation.  

Monopoly - you'll need a fair bit of masking tape, paper with the names of streets printed on them, Chance and Community Chest cards (localize these - they can be quite entertaining), Houses and Hotels, and of course Money. 

Snakes and Ladders - again masking tape to create the board, numbers for each square, and Snakes (ropes) and Ladders (you can literally use ladders for this).

Chess or Checkers - masking tape to create the board; Use people for the pieces.  For chess, you need signs for people to wear to indicate what piece they are.

Jenga - blocks of wood.  Or you can buy some from Amazon. eg Gigantic Tower Game
