This game involves a medium to large size room, a beach ball and 2-3 long tables and 8-12 folding chairs.
To set up, place the tables in a line dividing the room in half. Depending on the size of the tables, place opened chairs sitting on top of the tables (3 for regular size tables, 4 for larger ones). Rotate the direction which the chair is facing every other chair. The purpose of this is that occasionally when the ball is hit in the net (the chairs on top of the tables), It becomes like Plinko on The Price Is Right and you don't really know which side the ball will land on.
We play 3 hits (but not same person consecutively like volleyball) and unlimited head bounces and kicks. Also if the ball hits the ceiling, it becomes the other team's possession. The ball can be hit off the walls or whatever objects are in the room as long as it doesn't touch the ground.
I randomly made this up one night and we have been playing it for months at least once a week. This is also good if your youth group does not have a large budget.
