Frozen T's | ![]() |
This game is literally an icebreaker! It requires a bit of preparation however...
For each team, you need a frozen t-shirt. Submerge the shirts in a tray or container full of water overnight.
Tell the group they'll be playing an icebreaker game, then bring out the t-shirts. Give one to each team, and it's the first team to have a team member put on the t-shirt. Depending on how frozen the shirts are, it can take a while for them to bash out the ice. Let them be creative in the way they thaw it out (pouring water over it works well!)
The team to come back with someone wearing the t-shirt is the winner

I am going to try this with the Senior High group. I am letting the winners throw cream pies at the other team.

Can I just say how well this game actually works? I put the t-shirts in big gatorade bottles and froze them in there. It was a blast watching them trying to get the t-shirts out. Excellent game.

Be careful not to fold the t-shirts up too much. I did this with my group, and froze the t-shirts in military ammunition boxes after I had folded them as small as i could, and tied string around them. Because the shirts were so tightly folded and bound with string, it took much longer than expected to get them unfolded. The one team never did unfold theirs, and the team that won destroyed the t-shirt. Also, my ammo cans got severely bent in the process. The kids loved it, though, so it was well worth it!

Yeah, we played this once and one team took it to the bathroom and peed on the shirt... that pretty much ended the game... nobody got their shirt unfrozen. :)
