I didn't catch your name

4 shiney stars

A simple get-to-know-you game, ideal for groups where people don't know each other's names that well.  The aim of the game is to learn people's names.

Start by having everyone stand around in a circle.  One person has a ball and must throw it to someone and say their name as they throw it.  Continue until everyone has thrown the ball at least three times (by then, everyone should know at least some people's names!)

This is a good ice breaker game. Another suggestion that I use is setting a pattern and following the pattern. This not only helps in remembering names, but it helps with remembering faces too. Then you can make it more challenging by adding by adding another ball or however many you choose. Or you could say the name of the person and throw the ball to the person on their right.

I did this one, but beforehand told people don't mess up or I would squirt them with a squirt gun. It was really fun (be ready for some revenge!)
